A Common Sense Nurse to Help Heal America

DONATE

Marylanders, my fellow Americans,… we need common sense in America, and we need to heal our Republic.

Respectfully, I am Lorie R. Friend, RN, and I am running to represent Maryland in the United States Senate.

What do I mean by common sense? How do we heal our Republic?

As a U.S. Senator, I will seek to protect our medical freedom, decisions by patients and their doctors... no more government mandates. I will oppose deficit spending and unsound monetary policy that causes inflation. I will fight to defend and secure our borders from foreign threats and illegal immigration. I will support parent's rights in schools, freedom of speech, prosecution of violent offenders, funding law enforcement, the second amendment, term limits, state election rights, making our necessities here in America, helping our farmers to secure our food supply, and becoming energy independent.

Why support my campaign, a nurse running for the U.S. Senate?

First, I am born and raised in Maryland. I have lived and worked in Baltimore, made my families’ home in Oakland, Maryland, and have extended family throughout Central and Eastern Maryland. I know and love Western Maryland, our great cities and towns, Chesapeake Bay, and Eastern Shore. I will truly represent "all" of Maryland.

Second, for over twenty-five years, I have been a pre-opt/post-opt nurse at my local hospital, working three, twelve plus hour shifts a week, starting at 5:00 am. It is my job to listen to my patients, care for them, and advocate for them in complex and challenging institutional settings. I will passionately and effectively represent the people of Maryland.

Third, in 2022, I ran for the U.S. Senate for the State of Maryland. I visited and campaigned in all of Maryland’s twenty-three counties and Baltimore City. In a field of ten primary Republican candidates, I went from a political unknown to taking second place. After the 2022 election, supporters in the Republican Party consistently encouraged me to run again. After winning the Republican Primary, one must then win the general election in Maryland, a historically democratic party state. As a Nurse, a woman, a mother, and a working person, I have appeal to independent voters looking for common sense, and even democrats frustrated with the radicalism of their party.

Lastly, the politics in our Nation continue to get worse such that I felt the call to serve by running for public office again.

I am Lorie Friend, RN, and I am running for the U.S. Senate for Maryland. No one can do this alone. If you want to see the direction of our Republic change, please get involved. We need people to tell their family, friends, and coworkers. We need volunteers. We need financial donations for the primary and the general election. My campaign needs your support to spread the word. I am a “grassroots candidate.” Mine is a strong voice of Maryland and for America. Let me be your voice in the U.S. Senate.

Thank You,

Lorie R. Friend, RN
